200+hr Yoga Teacher Training (The Yoga Studio College of Canada); Prenatal/Postnatal/Mom & Baby Yoga Teacher Training (Swellmama /OmBaby Doula); The Goddess Yoga Project (Sianna Sherman and Yoga Journal), Vipassana meditation (Wat Mahatat, Thailand)
I have been practising yoga since 2005, initially to improve strength and flexibility for dance, but was hooked by the immediate mental and emotional benefits and the extensive philosophical and spiritual history of yoga. While completing my teacher training in Iyengar Yoga (known for its focus on correct alignment, often with the use of props), I discovered I was pregnant. Prenatal yoga and motherhood have blown my practice wide open to a kinder, more loving approach (ahimsa, or non-violence).
I never want to stop learning and am grateful to my teachers and the long lineage of sages and gurus who came before to pass on the tradition of yoga. Namaste.
“Namaste. I honor the place within you where the entire Universe resides; I honor the place within you of love, of light, of truth, of peace; I honor the place within you, where, when you are in that place in you, and I am in that place in me, there is only one of us.” – Mahatma Gandhi
